Dear Friends and Pinball Community,
Because many of you were waiting for it; We have the immense pleasure to present you the 2nd TORNEIG DE CATALUNYA DE PINBALL - TCAP 2023!!!
Thanks again to the generosity of our sponsor and partner, Mr. Jaume Sanahuja, we will celebrate the tournament in the MUSEO DEL RECREATIVO that bears his surname and that many of you had the privilege of knowing last year in the TCAP 2022. Well, get ready for strong emotions because since then it has only grown and improved in all aspects. At the moment we are already at 370 pinballs from all eras, we are talking about one of the best collections in Europe as most of the pinballs are operational. For a lover of this world to visit it and live it is already a prize.
There we will be able to play and compete with a spectacular set of machines, some of them authentic collector's items.
There will be surprises that we are sure you are going to love and that we will not reveal until you come, for all this and more: You can not miss it!
Although we believe that for most of you it will not be a problem, we prefer to inform you of three differences with respect to the previous Tournament, the first two by express wish of the host:
1. The pinballs are going to be very close together, especially the classic ones that have a narrower head, like in the halls we used to go to when we were kids. Of course, in those cases there will not be two players next to each other in adjacent pinballs.
2. The pinballs will be fitted with rubber blocks, so they will not be able to move from the place as it is usual in both national and foreign tournaments with limited space.
3. It is most likely that the Elimination Phase and the Side Tournament will be managed with the Matchplay, if this is the case, each group of players will be responsible for uploading their scores by their smartphones and that they are correct, as there will be no scorers on behalf of the organization.
Keep in mind these 3 points because we will not admit any complaint or claim about them before, during and after the tournament. We are very lucky to be able to play a tournament in a MUSEUM like this one!!!
Let's go with the provisional programme of the TCAP 2023 - From 28th to 29th October (IFPA Scoring)
Day 27: Open Doors Afternoon from 17h to 22h. Designed to enjoy and visit the Museum and play/look/photograph as much as you want. We have chosen not to put any kind of Frenzy, PinGolf or similar as we believe that you will enjoy more playing at your own pace and seeing this magnificent collection than competing in an afternoon-evening tournament. And of course free of charge for all TCAP 2023 participants
Day 28: We start at 8:30h with the check-in to be ready at 9h. Lunch break at 14h and back to the Museum to continue playing from 16h. Saturday will be a long day and we will finish late, so that on Sunday we can finish at a decent time.
Day 29. From 9:00h Play-offs, Finals and Side Tournament
PRE-REGISTRATION OPENING (By Google Docs) - Day 23rd July at 20h - 96 Players
Registration including commemorative t-shirt and two free drinks, not including lunch in group (optional) to be paid separately and with a cost of 18,90 euros VAT included.
ATTENTION: We change and innovate in the subject of registration, on July 23rd at 20h we will publish in this post a link to a form (Google Docs) to be filled in by players who want to participate. Last year there were incidents with the mail that this year we intend to avoid.
LOGISTICS
The venue is located in Sabadell and we recommend you the Hotel Arrahona which is 600 meters away, they have changed owners and right now they don't offer any special rate, even so nowadays we are talking about a very affordable cost for two nights that you can book from their website

Sabadell is about 15-20 minutes from Barcelona by car but we do not recommend you to stay in Barcelona, as it is much more expensive and you have to be at the Tournament first thing in the morning, even so you have nearby and affordable the IBIS Barcelona Meridiana or the CATALONIA La Maquinista 15-20 minutes from Sabadell by car and about 40-50 minutes to Sabadell Sud station by train Cercanías.
To come to the venue from Sants Station (Barcelona's main train station) it is 35 minutes by train to Sabadell Sud (Rodalies-Cercanías). From the airport you can take the train from T2 (the shuttle from T1 to T2 is free) to Sants, which takes 25 minutes, and then the Cercanías to Sabadell Sud. You also have Taxi, Uber or Cabify that can range between 60-80 euros.
