I built a cpu board for few Playmatic pinballs (Antar, Attack, Black Fever, Evil Fight et Zira ). Board tested in one pinball ( Attack ) It’s like the MPU-C with the same components. All the chips is on sockets. If there is a problem it’s very easy to change the chip. There are three LED to verify the signals ( +6v, INT and SYNC ) . There are two 2716 eprom.
You can only buy the PCB: 50 euros. Available
You can buy the PCB with all the components except all the chips. All the solders are done: 80 euros. Available
You can buy the PCB with all the components with all the chips: 110 euros. Available soon.
For the eprom I use the files from internet so I am not sure the files are good. For the moment I am sure for Attack.

I made a mistake.I've got a MPU III without pal.


I saw the picture you sent.It's a very strange cpu. I didn't see the input/output chips ( cdp1852). It's another cpu. I think it's not a MPU V !
On my mind smegot and smegat are for the sound board.

I forgot. If you are interested by Playmatic pinballs I built a MPU C with the same components.

I've got a Megaaton with a MPU-V without PAL and it's working. I loaded the eprom from ipdb.I fixed another MPU-V without Pal.

Some news about my pinball.
I couldn't find the board for the display so I made it.



It's working. If someone is interested I have got two other boards ( only the board without the displays, the ci....)

Now I'm looking for a plastic.

I think I need a little part in the apron. I don't know what it is.

I had a lot of problems with the sockets. I don't see the sockets for the cdp 1859 on your cpu . I always put "tulipe" sockets. I don't know how does it call in english. You can see them on my photo.
Good luck because it's a hard work.

I've got the resistors 8x10k but it's difficult to see them on the photo.

I think you have to unplug all the boards. Keep only power board and cpu board.
Verify the cpu input signals.

the 5101 are ok ?
Follow the data bus and the adress bus on the cpu. What do you see ?

If you have nothing on 17,18,19 ( cdp 1802 ) the cpu doesn't work.

Sorry the photos are not good.

Not the eprom maybe the socket.
I took some photos and i'll try to put them.
I 've got +5v not + 6v because if I remember my eprom doesn't work with 6v.

It's not good for 17,18 and 19. You don't have pulses. I'll try to take some photos.
Look at the adress bus and the data bus.
If you want you can send me the eproms and i'll try them on my attack.
Ihad problems with the eprom sockets too.
